Giant Artichoke

Jay thought I was missing a trick and should be out sketching and photographing the giant artichoke, so here's a picture. The garden is looking lovely at the moment.

Shop of the week

When we were in London, Jay and I went to Loop in Islington. It was lovely. I bought some lime green wool to make a scarf and this gorgeous big button!

a bit later...

oooh the Bombay Saphire people were very generous, and it had been a long day, and there were lots of us!

London

We spent last week at an exhibition in London for new graduates. It was great to be a part of something so fresh and vibrant. I spent lots of time looking round the shops and galleries. We started the week fresh faced and excited, and ended up cynical and jaded, then had to load the lorry up in the rain. Great!

Day one...

Well, I did it, I left my part-time teaching job to concentrate on being a full-time designer maker. I'm very excited and also very sad to leave my lovely friends behind.

Living the dream!

Things are changing for me this year as I am leaving my lovely teaching job and going full time as a ceramicist. I've got an amazing year of shows and events lined up as I try to make the move into being full time self employed. I'm moving away for a year to develop a new range of work and to spend time drawing and developing my ideas. It's a very exciting time and I hope to keep my blog up to date with pictures and links.
